Sumida Electronics Breaks Ground at An Phat 1 Industrial Park – October 12, 2023

An Phat 1 Industrial Park is pleased to report a significant development in our ongoing partnership with Sumida Electronics Vietnam. On this significant day, the groundbreaking ceremony for Sumida’s new factory took place at An Phat 1 Industrial Park, setting the stage for an impactful collaboration that promises to drive innovation and economic growth.

Hai Duong has evolved into a strategic hub for industrial development, thanks to its advanced infrastructure and business-friendly investment policies. An Phat 1 Industrial Park aligns perfectly with this trajectory, focusing on high-tech, eco-friendly solutions that make us a prime destination for domestic and international investors. To date, we’ve attracted nearly $500 million USD in estimated investment capital, enhancing the park’s appeal to investors.

Sumida’s upcoming factory underscores their ambitious growth strategy in Vietnam. Designed to produce electronic components that support sectors such as automotive and industrial applications, the facility will occupy a space that is three times larger than their current setup in Hai Phong. It will also feature rooftop solar panels that will cover up to 60% of its energy requirements, aligning with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals and contributing to sustainable operations.

“The decision by Sumida Electronics to establish their new production hub at An Phat 1 represents a landmark moment for both parties. Sumida’s professional and efficient approach during the preliminary stages has been commendable, and we are convinced that the forthcoming facility will be a cornerstone in their expanding Vietnamese operations”, the representative of An Phat 1 said.

“As the backbone behind An Phat 1 Industrial Park, our commitment to Sumida Electronics Vietnam goes beyond basic infrastructure. We see this as a collaborative endeavor, a partnership founded on mutual trust and a shared vision for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future”, he confirmed
