Hai Duong is in the First Batch of Covid-19 Vaccination in Vietnam

In 8th March morning, at Hai Duong Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Ministry of Health coordinated with the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Epidemic Control to launch a campaign of Covid-19 vaccination.

Deputy Health Minister Do Xuan Tuyen and the leaders of Hai Duong province are encouraging people who are injected in the first Covid-19 vaccination batch
An important solution to restrain and control the epidemic
Hai Duong is one of 13 provinces prioritized to receive the Covid-19 vaccine in the first batch of its deployment in Vietnam with 33,000 doses, and is the province receiving the most. This is one of the reasons why Ministry of Health decided to choose Hai Duong as the launching point for the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, as the first  deployment of vaccination.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that over the past time, the Government has always stepped up measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. Therefore, although Vietnam has not officially vaccinated against Covid-19 in a large scale, the epidemic situation in our country is still under good control. Hai Duong is one of the localities that has done this well when the Covid-19 epidemic occurred.
“The epidemic is caused by viruses, along with measures to prevent the epidemic, vaccination is a very important solution to curb and control the epidemic. Presently, Vietnam has been included in the list of countries with vaccine support in this batch by the Global Alliance on Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI). Accordingly, in this phase, our country will deploy the injection of a total of 117,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, with priority given to people working at the front line against the epidemic in provinces with cases of infection”, Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen said.
Safe and excited
Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung, staff of the Reproductive Health Care Dept. under Hai Duong City Health Center was the first person in Hai Duong City and also the first person in the province to be vaccinated with Covid-19 in this batch. Ms. Nhung was selected for the vaccination because she previously joined the specimen taking team of  Hai Duong City. After the injection, Ms. Nhung happily said: “I feel that my health status has not changed. The body temperature and heart rate are completely normal. Thus, I think people shouldn’t worry when they are vaccinated, because vaccination has the effect of preventing diseases for themselves and for the community”.
People to be vaccinated are providing their health information for pre-vaccination screening
Informed that she was in the list of being vaccinated against Covid-19 in this batch, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tam from Quang Trung ward arrived at the injection site very early. Ms. Tam is a freelancer and participates in the local “Covid Prevention Community” group. At the time when Quang Trung ward had an area that was to be isolated, Ms. Tam went to buy things on demand every day for the isolated households. Waiting for her turn to take the injection, Ms. Tam said: “I find vaccination very significant, showing the government’s timely care for the people, especially those participating in social work like us. With the vaccination, we feel more safe and active when participating in the epidemic prevention in particular and social work in general”.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a teacher at Tuan Viet Kindergarten (Kim Thanh), is a member of the group ” Covid Prevention Community “, who regularly has to propagate and trace people related to the cases of F0, F1. As one of the first persons to be injected in Kim Thanh district, Nga feels lucky because she can lessen the fear of exposure to SARS-CoV-2 when participating in local epidemic prevention.
As recorded by noon of 8th March, Hai Duong city has organized the injections for 50 people, Kim Thanh district 36 people. All of them are psychologically stable, happy, and in normal health status.
