On September 26, 2023 – An Phat High-tech Industrial Park No.1 JSC and Sumida Corporation took their partnership to the next level with a significant milestone. The two organizations held an official land sublease agreement signing and land handover ceremony, which marks an impactful collaboration. This ceremony solidifies Sumida’s commitment to its expansion of manufacturing capabilities in Vietnam.
The project spans 2 hectares within the An Phat 1 Industrial Park and is set to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2024. The new facility aims to concentrate on various sectors, including automotive and industrial applications, aligning well with Sumida’s mid-term business strategy.
In line with the trend toward sustainability, the upcoming factory will feature a production space that is three times larger than their current facility in Hai Phong. Furthermore, it will make use of rooftop solar panels to meet up to 60% of its electricity needs, contributing to sustainable operations and achieving ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals.
